Super Aguri - (new scoring solution explained...)
Super Aguri's departure from F1 will have a
dramatic affect on the points scoring potential for everyone that has chosen
either T.Sato or A.Davidson as their driver selection from Group E and/or Super
Aguri as their constructor selection from Group H. As a result I have come up
with a scoring solution which I deem to be fair, not only to those who have made
these selections but also to those who have not.
1) Anyone with the driver T.Sato in their
fantasy team will now score points based on A.Sutil's performace minus any race
points, grid position points and race finish bonus points he may receive.
For example: Turkish GP (11 May 2008) A.Sutil completed 57 laps, scored no race
points, scored 1 point for his grid position and 10 bonus points for completing
the race. Total = 68 fantasy points. T.Sato will score a total of 57 fantasy
points (i.e. the race laps completed by A.Sutil)
2) Anyone with the driver A.Davidson in their
fantasy team will now score points based on G.Fisichella's performace in the
same way as explained above in note 1).
3) Anyone with the constructor Super Aguri in
their fantasy team will now score points based on the sum of the points scored
as per note 1) and 2).
This "new scoring solution" has been put in
place to try to give a "fighting chance" to those who have made Super Aguri
selections. This "solution" will come into effect immediately (i.e. from the
Turkish GP).
As I have always said, this competition has
always been about having fun and being fair. These are my first two and most
important principles. Hopefully this "solution" will help keep that ethic in
tact.
