General Rules (2008 Season)

Main Competition

1. Simply select the required number of Drivers/Constructors from each of the groups (A to H) on the entry form (2 Drivers from Group A, 2 Drivers from Group B, 3 Drivers from Group C, 1 Driver from Group D, 1 Driver from Group E, 2 Constructors from Group F, 1 Constructor from Group G, 1 Constructor from Group H). Click here for a preview of this season's Driver and Constructor groups

2. You can play JOKERS at 3 of the Grand Prix venues this season - simply select 1 circuit from each of the 'Joker' drop down lists (Groups I, J and K).  See scoring system for an explanation of how this can help you rack up the points.

3. Enter your team name (nothing rude please).

4. Enter the 'Tie-Breaker'. Estimate the total number of laps that will be completed by all 22 drivers throughout all 18 races of the 2008 season. In the event of a tie, the nearest estimate will decide the overall winner. Hint: Last season the total was 19565 from 17 GPs and 22 Drivers - remember, there are 18 races this season.

5. Please use your real name on the entry form. If you win a prize at the end of the season, your prize cheque will be made out to the name on your entry form. Also give a valid email address, this will be used to make arrangements to pay you your prize.

6. This season will be for paid entries only. There are four methods of payment available, they are: 1) Credit Card 2) PayPal 3) Cheques. (Payment by cheque can only be accepted in UK Pounds). 4) Direct Bank Transfer (UK only, for those of you that use internet banking).

7. There is no restriction on the number of fantasy teams you can enter. Only teams whose entry fee has been received by midnight (GMT) on 15th March 2008, will be entered into the competition.

8. Details of prizes will be published on the site shortly after the first GP of the season.

9. Mini leagues. You and your friends/colleagues can compete directly against each other in a league of your own. Each mini league must contain at least 5 members but no more than 10. To set up a mini league each member will firstly need to enter their fantasy team in the main competition via the entry form. Then, one member (who we shall call the 'mini league captain') will need to complete the mini league entry form, giving details of all his mini league members.

10. A prize will be given to the best performing mini league at the end of the season. This will be based on the average score of all the members for each mini league entry.

11. Mini league entries can only be accepted if entry fees for all members have been received. There is no additional charge for the entry of a mini league.

12. If you are not part of a mini league by the start of the first Grand Prix, you will not be placed in a "random" mini league as in previous competitions.

13. All prize winners will be contacted shortly after the last GP of the 2008 season. If any prizes are not claimed by 31st December 2008 then that prize can no longer be claimed.

Fantasy Team Championship

The Fantasy Team Championship is a new feature introduced a couple of seasons ago. Its basically another competition which will decide a Fantasy Team Champion from all the fantasy league entries.

Here's how it works:-

1. During the course of each Grand Prix, entrants in the main league competition will score points as usual.

2. The top 100 points scorers for each GP are recorded in the "Top Teams" section of the "Season Stats" menu.

3. The top 100 for each Grand Prix will be awarded FTC points as listed on the scoring page.

4. The FTC points from each GP will be added together to give you a FTC points total and an FTC ranking. These, and details of your season so far, are visible on your own normal league team page.

5. A new Fantasy Team Championship league table will be available after each GP and can be found in the "Season Stats" section on the main menu.

6. Ultimately, the manager with the most FTC points at the end of the season will be crowned Fantasy Team Champion.

7. If there are enough entries this season, then there will be a cash prize allocated for the Fantasy Team Champion. This will be confirmed, as will all prizes, shortly after the start of this coming season.
